ELIMINATION ROUND: Task Four-Strike a pose

Hello Ladies,

These past two weeks task was too create a posed scenery of anything you want, and for you to put your personal spin on it. A tutorial came along with the task so each of the sceneries should be POSED! The theme should have been clear and have an idea that you came up with on your own.

For judges, this task was to see who has natural skill in the art of scenery modelling.

OVERALL JUDGING CRITICISM:

I wanted more of a personal flare but I feel like only very few of you wanted to utilize that idea. Also I feel like a lot of the sceneries were rushed and second guessed. Which is VERY disappointing to me when you enter this competition I expect you to try.

CRITIQUES

BeatsInAllegro

Circee.: You have such a keen fashion sense but the scenery is just a mess. I understand that you are a beginner, but the scenery to me looks rushed. The forearms are far to long, and there is no theme, how does this describe you, what did you want this scenery to represent. This is just a mess of flowers.
Mirdith: Those arms are totally unrealistic. Short on the upper part and too long on the lower. Also you could have worked better on the background, looks a little random.
AnneHattaway: Well I see what you were going for and the idea is good. However I think the pose needs some adjustments. I know you´re just beginning so it´s ok, but for the future i recommend you watch out the proportions as arms are too long to be real, so if you use smaller tiles to round the edges of the elbows they will look smoother. I like the dress, background could be better.

Mikatsi

Circee.: I don't like it. It is a MESS. This scenery is totally rushed, it's as if you didn't put any effort into the scenery at all. It's not even reall posed. Come on! You can do so much better then this!
Mirdith: I don't understand the middle square, I don't know what it is. The other looks like a girl swimming, but what is she doing on the first square? Also it looks like you put one leg here one that. It's nothing realistic, and the last square...is not that difficult putting two arms (which you don't swim like that by the way) but you did it wrong. It doesn't look good, looks very fake. Sorry.
AnneHattaway: Well I can see an attempt here but I don´t see a geniune pose here. The arms in the 3rd sqare seem good but I´d love to see the rest! The first square is confusing, I think it´s something with proportions and positions that makes it look unreal. I know with more practice you can make a pose :) Just watch the tutorial, I have one in my blog if you wish. And I odn´t recommend comic strip scenes for posing. I do like the outfit in the 1st square :)

Circee.: Never ever make two sceneries, pick one and live with it. So I decided to dock your score one point, but, I really enjoyed the simplistic modern background that you brought to both. LOVELY POSES, they just need a little work to perfection.
Mirdith: I like the styling. The pose is not bad, but the arm is a little too long. Also that grey background surrounding the orange one looks fake, and the objects you added look a little bit random.
AnneHattaway: I didn´t know which scene to judge since I think you´re only allowed to enter one, so I will judge this one because. Although I think you took a greater risk in the pose in the other one, this one is neater and more well done. I like the pose is really good, I can tell you´re not completely a beginner.I like the scene, the only thing I find a bit werid is the sorounddings are orrange and the rest grey, was it on purpose? I can´t tell. Good job! Keep it up!

LondonToParis

Circee.: I actually love the idea for the pose, I agree with Anne about it being a beginners pose, but it is very creative, the background fits the theme wonderfully. What stops me from giving it a higher score is the shortness of the raised arm. It just urks me.
Mirdith: The bakground is great, very like a model agency. But the pose.... it isn't realistic at all. The right arm is ok, but the left is extra small and extra short. Plus, the lines are very straight and squared.
AnneHattaway: This is a good first attemp for a beginner, I like very much the bent arm, however the extended arm needs work, you should make it longer and watch it´s proportions. Make up and clothes are ok an I like the detail in the background.

AmongtheRoses

Circee.: I thought the original pose you had was SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER, this is why you shouldn't second guess yourself darling. this pose just looks like a mess of purple. The outfit is a bit too messy for my taste but I love the theme.
Mirdith: The background is super messy. That purple flowers capt all the attention not your doll. Also the pose is very unreal. The left arm disappears. And the styling is very weird. What are those faces in your knees? Your body is too short, and the clothes you used don't look like clothes. Also, that two horses on the corners?? what are they for? In a scenery everything should have an intention. Your scenery looks very random.
AnneHattaway: Good attempt, I see what you were going for and its great for a beginner. Firstly I would advise to use tiles, if you then wanna add leaves for the background you can but the pose is easier to round up with plain square tiles the extended arm looks great the other one needs working. The legs are good but to thin i think. I like the styling, the background it´s a bit messy, perhaps with some order would look better :)

pArAdIsE_134

Circee.: I quite like the pose. The legs are AMAZING, But the arm feels a little out of place to me. The background is a little messy but i think the scenery is good. Good job :)
Mirdith: It's a little plain, but it's ok. I like the idea for the background, the pose is clean and has the right proportions (the leg pose is great). I like how you tried to make her look seated, it could have been better but you did it. Also, I think the styling could have been better. Other than that good job.
AnneHattaway: The overall scenery looks great! Good job with the pose :) I wish I could see the benging in the knee. To round bendings you just need to use small tiles in different positions. The outfit is goos though I´m not sure if flowers matches with the rest but I love the flowing of top and boots. I like the backgropund. Overall a good scene but I bet you can try harder poses and succed :)

Circee.: LOVE THE POSE, LOVE THE BACKGROUND. Very nice, the hair and the bare leg piece bother me though, I'm not sure if it were intentional or not. My one question would be what do you mean by it is "insured by a pose Ealain did once" tell me immeadiately, but other then that it is great!
Mirdith: Too short arms, and the bare leg looks super weird. I'm not a big fan of that hair you made with pony tails, and the gloves have a strange ending. It doesn't look good. Other than that, it's Ok, and is a complex pose. Maybe it would have been better a simpler pose, but more perfect.
AnneHattaway: Well you´re obviously not a beginner. This is great!! The arms go how ever I think they can be a bit short and you can round more the edges. Legs are good too how ever one is thinner than the other. I like the styling, the hair looks a bit weird specially because of the 2 tones. Overall i like the scenery! I will work adjusting the details in the pose a bit more and adding a background!

sceanable

Circee.: I like the pose, simple, and easy. But I feel like everything in the background is messy. It bothers me. I think you went for a surreal theme but it just ends up feeling messy. The dress is ok...
Mirdith: The pose is good, has the right measures and all that but the style... I'm not convinced about that butterfly dress. The background is ok, but a little childish.
AnneHattaway: The overall scene looks great. My favourite part: The dress. Definately you´ve made an awesome work with it. As regards background and posing its ok. About the pose, for a beginner its ok, not bad, not great either. I give you credit for being something real, having good proportions but the bend isn´t visible which makes making a pose something really easy. I like the whole scene, the pose is clean but you can make it better.

The winner of this task is....

issysmileyface !!!!!!!!

Congrats! Your scenery is going to be on the club homepage, good work! You pleased the judges!

Sadly the bottom three contestants of this week are...

Mikatsi, BeatsInAllegro, and LondonToParis.

You are all such strong contestants...But this week you failed to impress us.

Lets start with LondonToParis.

I personally loved your scenery, but the other judges thought it lacked creativity, and said that you were going for something extremely simple .

BeatsInAllegro

We think you are a strong contestant but the scenery is by far the worst task you have done so far, it was a mess, fashion and posing were clearly not on your mind when coming to this task.

and finally Mikatsi...

You really disappointed the judges this week, the scenery was rushed and a complete mess. It were as if a tornado came through your scenery and destroyed it.

The first girl to stay will be.....

LondonToParis !

You let us down but we feel you have so much potential.

That leaves us with Mikatsi and BeatsInAllegro.

Both you girls have so much to give in this competition but only one of you can stay.

BeatsInAllegro... you are going to stay!

We want to see you come back in the next task and bring something AMAZING!

Mikatsi.... I'm so sorry, your scenery scored lowest overall. You know you are a great model and fashionista.... I see you going very far in this business.

Good luck ladies on the next task! xx
