TASK TITLE: A Day In Paris!

For this task you ladies are going to create THREE OUTFITS. One for morning, one for the afternoon, and one for the evening. But keep in mind, IT'S PARIS. Do not make all the outfits the same, BUT MAKE THEM HIGH FASHION. Keep in mind current trends, setting, and the weather during each time period. A helpful hint would be to consider a nice formal dress for the evening. But it is up to you...
Please do save the outfits and put them in your ALBUM, each outfit should have a detailed description as well.

ELIMINATION ROUND: Task Seven - Double Trouble

Hello Ladies,

This task is supposed to test every aspect of your fashion ability. I'm sorry for how long it has taken me to get this up, it has been accident over accident. So over the past month you were supposed to create two different outfits in two different colors in a posed scenery. Then two combine both colors in one outfit.

OVERALL JUDGING CRITICISM:

Some of you excelled in one area of the task while others did not. When doing tasks like these it is good to stay consistent in the competition and put out your best work each time.

CRITIQUES

BeatsInAllegro

Circee.: You are improving on your scenery poses but I still think you could be better. I understood the theme, I like the ballet outfits, it fits nicely with the black and red scheme. It is a very simple yet elegant scenery. I like the outfit, it isn't my favorite, but it some how all looks great together. My one concern would be to get rid of the clutch, it doesn't really add to the outfit.

Mirdith: The mixing outfit looks good, but I think you could have done it better. Personally, I think that your combination was the easiest one, and I think you could have done it way better. I’m not saying is bad, I just think that with those two colours you could have created a great outfit, i love them together. Also there’s a lack of accesories (any!), but, I love the makeup. The scenary....well, you need to work a lot on posing, looks very fake both of them! I like the idea of the ballet thing, but the scenary is very basic. If the posing was better... maybe it could have done a better effect. But I think you should have tried easier poses and focus in creating stunning outfits.

Circee.: I'm actually quite fond of both your duo outfits in the scenery. I'm not so fond of the background of the scenery though, it is a little off putting. The poses are well done. I love your white outfit, the hat is by far the best accessory, I love it! Your two-color outfit is cute but...I feel like it is lacking something that steps it up for me. It is a good outfit, but I feel as a whole it could be better.Plus your description is lacking.

Mirdith:Love the outfits you made.The 3 of them are so cool and sophisticated. The one in the album, maybe you could have add a bag and some more accesories, but looks good and minimalistic. I like it. The ones in the scenaries are... perfect! Love both of them specially the white! So elegant. Also I like that you maintaned the purity of white using only one shade of it and on the purple that mix of purple shades. Looks good! The poses are good too. The only thing I dont like is that white curtains tha covers parts of the outfits. I think they look a little random. Other than that: great!

Circee.:I understand that your theme was parent trap, but that doesn't mean to create a simplistic outfit. Both outfits were not so up to par, you could have done so much better. You have nice poses, but the background of the scenery is kind of a mess. Your duo outfit was MUCH BETTER! It is the perfect colorful grunge outfit. You mixed blue and orange perfectly.

Mirdith: I love both tasks. Something in the outfit of the album makes that it’s not perfect, but i love it! I don’t know if I can express myself. Anyways, good scenary, and great outfits. They have accesories and look very good. Both of them. Also they fit with the theme you gave. The mixed outfit looks great! When I say your combination I thought... blue and orange? Weird.... But you made it look so cool! Well done!

Circee.: I'm not sure what you are trying to portray in your scenery, it lacks detail, I do not understand the balloons purpose. The poses are a mess, and do not look realistic. The duo outfits are all right, they are a bit messy, but they do stick to your color scheme. I am not a fan of your two-color outfit, it is messy, and does not coincide with one another. You could have done so much better on this task.

Mirdith: The mixing outfit looks good, and I understand that it can be difficult to make an outfit with few clothes in that colours. Anyway, it’s good, I like it!

The scenary.... well, you did it good, although the poses need more working, and the outfits are too plain. It doesnt look bad, but I think you could have created better outfits for the scenary.

Circee.: For your duo scenery, I FELL IN LOVE. I love your mint/brown theme, those are two colors that really complement each other. Each outfit of the scenery was GORGEOUS! You picked by far the perfect shades of the colors I gave you. Your poses are well executed good job. But, I'm not as much of a fan of your two-color outfit. I feel like the bag doesn't fit all together with the outfit, the dress is beautiful though.

Mirdith: The scenary looks very good. I like how you put the background in the opposite colour. Looks good. About the outfits...well you used the aprópiate colours and looks good, but I think you could have add some accesories to make them look more special, you know? Not as “basic”.

The outfit is good, and here I apréciate not having accesories, as you said it would look too much over done. Its good, but again maybe a brown bag? You know if the task is specially mint and brown you shouldn’t add a white (even if is printed) handbag.
Other than that, both parts are good and I like them.

You were so strong during the start of the competition, you could have done so much better, your first outfit actually scored higher then the second outfit, but sadly it wasn't good enough. Good look in your model life, I know you will go far!

TASK TITLE: Double Trouble

For this task you are going to do BOTH, a scenery, and an outfit. The outfit is going to be TWO COLORS ONLY. I'm going to give everyone their assigned colors in a list below. For the second part of the challenge you are going to create a POSED SCENERY. In this scenery there are going to be two of YOUR OWN DOLL, and each doll will be wearing one of the colors, so one doll will be wearing one color, and the second doll will be wearing the second color

Hello Ladies,

Sadly it is just me and Mirdith again judging this task, our guest judge went on a hiatus. This weeks task was a design challenge, the point of this task was too get you girls ready for the large land of "dollywood" stardom. Many well known stardoll models are also designers, it comes with the job. You must have more then one creative aspect about you, it shouldn't just be your doll, but your creative design style! 

This task was very important in determining who joins us on our new continental adventure too.... PARIS! But, one of you will not join us in our fashion travels...Read more to see who didn't make the cut.

OVERALL JUDGING CRITICISM:

You all lacked a way of making your outfits fit with the design, the accessories should be natural, and most of them looked absolutely PLASTIC. Remember when dealing with accessories, you need to try different things, and see how they look with the outfit, do not just throw a pink and green clutch on a orange and purple outfit, unless you want to look like a bag of skittles.

Circee.: I think your dress is simple and cute, and your accesories are nice light golden yellow/pale pink colors to fit the scheme of the dress. But, I feel like the dress design is a little to simple and easter, but I do enjoy it, It is quite nice to look at ;)

Mirdith: That’s the example of nice and basic. You look great! I love the styling and the dress you made! I love it! Also, the make up is perfect as the accessories chosen and the hair looks so good too. GREAT JOB!

Circee.: I actually REALLY REALLY like the pant, it is so simplistic, yet CRAZY, I think it looks great, and the purple scheme is always great ;). And as an outfit I think it looks wonderful, the pant really sticks out in the outfit, your use of a simple black and white really adds modern touch, your best task yet! Well done.

Mirdith:Good idea, I like the form of the pants and the idea. But not how you executed it. It could have been better, I think. Also, I would have prefered another styling... And I don't know if it's an error but it's difficult to see the outfit. I don't like the top with the pants, the rest is good.

Circee.:I adore the print of the dress and the outfit as a whole, very indie chic. I find it completely adorable. It is simple yet trendy, very good. I could see the print on the dress, going with many clothing items on stardoll.

Mirdith: I love the dress and I love that print in that shape! You look great in it! The bracelet doesn’t convince me much, but it doesn’t look bad. The reason for not getting a 10 is that I would have love it with pure white shoes. But it’s great anyway! Good job!

Circee.: I'm very neutral about your print, I like it, but I'm not too fond of it. BUT, the outfit as a whole is GORGEOUS, well done, the accessories help accentuate the pattern, good job.

Mirdith:I love the styling, and the idea. But I think you could have done a better floral pattern. I mean, it’s not bad, I like it, but I believe that it could have look more floral.

Circee.:First, I'm not a fan of your print, I feel like it is messy, and unrealistic, BUT, I like the color scheme, and the the dress totally matches the accessories, so I must give you props for that.

Mirdith: I don't like the outfit nor the design, it was better the other one. It's not fashion and looks very random.

Circee.: oo be completely honest I love the design, the design and the dress are fantastic. I WOULD LOVE TO BUY ONE ;D You should consider selling the design, it could do very well. BUT, my only problem is that the outfit as a whole just does not coincide with each other. The accessories do not match the color scheme of the dress, nor do they help it.

Mirdith: I like the concept, but not how you executed it. I know it’s difficult using stardesing, but I would have preferred something more basic and that doesn’t look that random. Also, I think that another sandals would have been better, maybe in a light colour or on a colour that the dress has.

You will be judged on two things, the pattern and colors designed on the stardesign item, AND the outfit all together. Get inspired! I want to see a pattern or design OK! ELIMINATION ROUND: Task Five- Haunt me Beautiful

Hello Ladies,

This past week has been quite hectic for me and my fellow judge so this task was judged by me and Mirdith. AND WILL BE JUDGED FAIRLY HARSHLY. This competition is getting serious and we need to know our competitors are up to the task!  This weeks task was all about the transformation in the makeup, to show that you have a variety of makeup skills at your disposal.

For judges this task was to see your... ability to give us two VERY different looks. One doll should be dark, and the other should be light. 

OVERALL JUDGING CRITICISM:

We failed to see more of a disposition between the innocent and the horror looks, plus most of you did not give out the horror vibe, I felt like most of you confused horror/monster for goth/emo. 

CRITIQUES

BeatsInAllegro

Circee.: I liked the innocent look, I feel like you really grasped the idea of lighter colors, but the brow could have been lighter. ^-^ But, the scary look isn't doing it for me. It isn't scary, and if you are going for a pale look, GO ALL WHITE, and then give her black eyes, not makeup, but eyes. Iris, and all. But the look isn't scary, It is goth, NOT MONSTER.

Mirdith: The innocent look is not bad, but it could have been better. I think you used too much shiner on the lips, and in the eyes I would have used some natural shadow. The blush is great. And the green line too. But… If you like to put blonde hair, I think you should have put her some lighter eyebrows. The scary one is definitely scary. I love that effect of eyes made of glass, and the eyelashes you used. The black hair is good too and the pale skin. You could have applied the eyeshadow better though. And, I don’t see the evolution between one and another, I don’t see the before and after part, they are very different.

Circee.: The innocent look is definitely innocent, the light colors are wonderful, good job with that. BUT, on the horror look I believe that you went WAY OVER BOARD. The eyes are more on the scary side but the rest of it is just a mess, the colors don't match I feel like it doesn't mix too well. The blood is a good touch though, but this is not your strongest task.

Mirdith: Looks great both of them, but on the scary look, that red lines you made with the red face pen look a little random. I love the effect on the mouth, and the red eyes. Good job!

Circee.: I can't help but feel totally disappointed, the innocent look is still too dark. The dark hair and coral lips do not represent innocent, It is all about LIGHT COLORS. And the horror look does not scare me, it doesn't represent monster, to me I just see a sad goth girl, or emo girl. The look does not give me any visual of monster.

Mirdith: The innocent look is OK. And I love how you have made the scary look without any accessories! That shadow under the eye.. perfect! And the black eyeliner and lipstick, the greasy ¡, very long, dark hair… great! Though, the cat eye contacts look a little out of place for me. Other than that, great!

Circee.: WOW JUST WOW. The horror monster look is amazing. It reminds me of the step mother from coraline, but it's terrifying! One of the best looks of the night. And the innocent look is DEFINITELY innocent! Very good, you definitely stepped up this task.

Mirdith: The natural look is good. Looks very innocent, and kind. And the scary is terrifying! Love the makeup and that big dark eyes you made. Also that scar and the blood on the mouth… very good! Great job!

Circee.: Your innocent doll was rather good, I liked how you used natural lighter colors, BUT, I must say the sparkle makes it look unnatural. The scary look is a complete disappointment. You used darker colors, but I don't see scary, there are so many WAYS TO REPRESENT SCARY, and I feel like you didn't even try to explore new ways to overcome any lack of makeup or items you may have had.

Mirdith: The innocent look could have been more natural. I don’t think you should have used black eyeliner, as it made her not look so innocent and natural. Also, she has brown eyebrows and blonde hair, platinium blonde hair. That also makes her look that innocent. The scary doll… Well, it’s not scary. You have only used red, and *** * bow in her eye, that looks a little random. I think that if you have made her look more dolly but with dark accessories would have been better, cause it would look more like a doll, but with terror things.

Circee.: Your face is PERFECT for the innocent look but the eye makeup is too harsh to be innocent, it is too dark of a color to be sweet. And when scrolling down to see your monster makeup from the top half I was thinking "OH WOW ITS AMAZING" then looking at the bottom half I was unsure how to feel about the look as a whole. I get the experiment aspect, but I still want it to look scary, I feel like the wide range of colors in the eyes and cheeks make it look like a rainbow monster. How many scary movies have you seen when the chaotic experiment gone wrong has had rainbow eyes and purple cheeks?

Mirdith: The innocent look is good. Looks natural and pretty. The history is good too. But the execution of the scary look I think that it could have been better. I love the eye contact thing. It truly looks like if she’s some kind of machine. The hair is well chosen too as if she has been cut for the experimentation, but that blonde extension… I think it would have looked scarier without it. I do love the blush you used and the lipstick and mout expression. But… the eyeshadow… well, is good, but I think that it doesn’t combine with the rest of the theme. And those scars… I think that you could have made them shorter and then they would look more like real scars (I know it’s like they have put together the face, I don’t know how to say it in English). The blood on the hair is OK. Good job. Looks like you have thought about it, and you did it good.

Circee.: This is by far your best task yet. I LOVE EVERY THING ABOUT IT. The mary jane inspired look is spot on ;) and the monster/horror makeup is SCARY, yet I can still sense the original dolls presense which I like. Very good. SO PROUD.

Mirdith: Both looks are what you were asked for. The natural looks very innocent, and the scarey is certainly scary! I like that you used the black & white camera to make it look darker. I love how you did the eyes, and that thing made with hair in the mouth is so good! You have done a great job!

You could have done SOOOOO MUCH BETTER, one of the other judges liked your makeup up, but I felt like you weren't trying to your full potential to complete the scary look.

Your innocent look was amazing, but you failed to haunt us judges with a scary look, you can't give us a great innocent look and then give up on the second half of the challenge.

and finally pArAdIsE_134...

Your horror look disappointed us all. You can do so much better then that. Both judges agreed that the horror look was a mess, although the innocent look was very light.

TASK CATEGORY: Makeup/ Before and After

TASK TITLE: Haunt me beautiful

This task is PURELY MAKEUP. Their are two looks to complete in this task. The first look is the innocent look. The light playful look that could also be viewed as the protagonist of the story, or a scary movie. The second look is going to be TERRIFYING. That's right, I want the second look to be horror story brought to life. I want SCARY MAKEUP, The makeup should really scare me. Please remember that you have to do BOTH the innocent look and the horror look. It should be similar to a before and after take.
